What You Need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Step 1: Locate the EA File
After downloading the Expert Advisor, locate the .ex5 file on your computer.
Step 2: Open MetaTrader 5 Data Folder
1. Launch MetaTrader 5
2. Click on **File** in the top menu
3. Select **Open Data Folder**
Step 3: Navigate to Experts Folder
Inside the data folder:
1. Open the **MQL5** folder
2. Open the **Experts** folder
Step 4: Copy the EA File
Copy your .ex5 file into the Experts folder.
Step 5: Restart MetaTrader 5
Close and reopen MetaTrader 5 or right-click in Navigator and select "Refresh".
Step 6: Enable Algo Trading
1. Click on **Tools** > **Options**
2. Go to the **Expert Advisors** tab
3. Check "Allow Algo Trading"
4. Click **OK**
Step 7: Attach EA to Chart
1. Open the **Navigator** panel (Ctrl+N)
2. Expand **Expert Advisors**
3. Double click your EA or drag it onto a chart
4. Configure settings
5. Click **OK**
Step 8: Verify EA is Running
Check for the "EA" icon in the chart header showing the EA is active.
